Does this sound like your child?

  • Say “NO” to every request?

  • Struggle at school?

  • Have Sensory Processing Disorder, and you don’t know how to help him or her at home?

  • Have an ADHD diagnosis, but you want options other than medication?

  • Constantly spin, crash, twirl, or hang upside down?

  • Have trouble concentrating, focusing, or controlling him or her-self?

  • Melt down with a change in routine?

  • Have difficulty making or keeping friends?

  • Slouch or lie down frequently and complain “I’m too tired.” “I can’t.” OR “It’s too hard.”

  • Have poor handwriting, scissor skills, and/or coloring skills? Seems to have weak hands?

  • Constantly seek attention?

  • Seem difficult to discipline, like nothing works?

If this sounds like your child, there is hope.

Amanda Perches is an occupational therapist who has been treating children for nearly 20 years.

Amanda specializes in coaching children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, behavior disorders, developmental coordination disorders, and in becoming the best and most independent version of themselves.  She appreciates the opportunity to nurture children one-on-one, or in a group setting with her popular social-motor groups. This allows children to PLAY with their friends as they address social skills, fine and gross motor coordination, balance and core strengthening, handwriting, and self-regulation through exercise and mindfulness.

“Amanda Perches isn’t just an OT. She has changed our son’s life.”

Amanda Perches isn’t just an OT. She has changed our son’s life. When he was 5 years old, in Pre-K, he was reluctant to write, and when prompted to draw, would merely scribble on a paper and throw it. With her help, only a year later, he writes most letters with ease, and can be found in his free time at school “writing the room” and considers art as a favorite subject. Fabrics and crowds would send him into sensory overload, leading to frequent meltdowns. Making friends was not easy, and in fact, not a priority. With Amanda’s help, he can better cope with sensory stimuli, and has more social strategies to navigate school. Often, parents of children with special needs question where to turn, and don’t know where to start. For our family, Amanda has been a blessing in helping us to help our son, and the future is so bright for him, largely thanks to her.

“Amanda has helped him achieve many goals that were once far from obtainable.”

Amanda has been working with my son since he was in pre-k (now in 4th). She has helped him grow into a social butterfly who enjoys spending time with his friends and family. She has helped him achieve many goals that were once far from obtainable. She is a wonderful therapist, we feel very blessed to have her working with our son.
