Amanda is an occupational therapist who has been treating children for nearly 20 years. Amanda specializes in coaching children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, behavior disorders, developmental coordination disorders, and in becoming the best and most independent version of themselves. She appreciates the opportunity to nurture children one-on-one, or in a group setting with her popular social-motor groups. This allows children to PLAY with their friends as they address social skills, fine and gross motor coordination, balance and core strengthening, handwriting, and self-regulation through exercise and mindfulness.
Amanda believes nurturing children is both her calling and purpose in life, which feels like a blessing to her as an occupation. The greatest reward is seeing a child meet his or her goal and sharing in the pride the entire family experiences. It is an honor for her to be a part of these children’s lifelong journeys!
Amanda believes in disconnecting from the screens to reconnect with family, while engaging in FUNctional play to develop age-appropriate motor and self-regulation skills. ACTIVE play builds the foundation for self-esteem, social skills, self-regulation, and achievement of independence.
Amanda resides outside of Houston with her three children, and loves spending time with them exploring the great outdoors. Being “MOM” is her most favorite role.
Occupational Therapy is a direct one-on-one medical approach provided to children referred through prescription by doctors. Clinical OT is generally reimbursable through insurance. Amanda provides one-on-one OT in a school or home setting for children in Fort Bend County, just outside of Houston Texas.
Pediatric Occupational Therapists are trained in psychology, behavioral therapy, medicine, body mechanics, anatomy & physiology, neurology, kinesiology, learning disabilities, physical and mental disabilities, and much more.
Occupational Therapy Coaching provides customized support and advice based on each individual family’s needs. Coaching can be provided in person, or via phone or video conferencing. OT coaching is a non-medical approach provided to parents (not children), and therefore is not reimbursable by insurance.

“When Amanda first started working with my son, he was barely functioning in the classroom and was struggling at home as well. He was anxious, over-stimulated, and unable to follow directions and participate in a group. Fast forward to today and he is not only functioning, he is thriving. His teachers say he is a completely different kid. I cannot begin to explain the difference Amanda has made in our lives and his. She approaches each child with amazing insight into what they need as an individual and connects with them in a way that they look forward to working with her. She was the missing piece to what felt like an impossible puzzle.”
